MANUFACTURE OF ENCLOSED SHELL FOR ROTARY COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE:To shorten the manufacturing time by forming a plurality of contacting sections on the outer circumferential face of an end shell to be fitted in a drum shell through shaving. CONSTITUTION:An endshell 3 having a fitting section 3a and a body 3d is fitted to the end of a drum shell 2 through light pressure insertion. A plurality of contacting sections 3c are formed by the shaving work section 3b of the endshell 3. A shaving die lowers to perform shaving work thus forming the contacting sections 3c. Consequently, the conventional machining through a lathe is eliminated thereby the manufacturing time can be shortened with the facility of fitting work being satisfied.
