PURPOSE:To obtain a composite material of corrosion resisting nickel alloy and steel having excellent high strength and corrosion resistance in sea water by depositing as sticking minute grains of the corrosion resisting nickel alloy on the surface of carbon steel or low alloy steel and executing the heat treatment after hot or cold working. CONSTITUTION:Molten Ni alloy 3 is flowed into a chamber 1 from a nozzle 14 of a ladle 2 and injecting flow 5 of inert gas is hit on this molten flow 4, to scatter it. Or, the molten Ni alloy is made to the minute grains 6 by the method, etc., which the molten flow 4 is dropped on a rotating circular plate 11, to scatter it from the circumference of the circular plate 11 by centrifugal force. Before solidification of this minute grains 6, they are deposited on the surface of carbon steel or low alloy steel containing 0.1 1.0 wt.% C as a core material 8 in the chamber 1. Next, after solidification of the deposited minute grain layer, hot working or cold working is executed and then by executing heat treatment, the composite material 7 of corrosion resisting Ni alloy and steel is produced.
