摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent generation of shock sound due to vibration at recording/ reproduction by providing a lower carriage having a lower magnetic head and an upper carriage having an upper magnetic head or an upper pad and connecting the lower/upper carriage at the side of a magnetic disk. CONSTITUTION:In loading a magnetic disk 1 in the direction of arrow 14, the motion of a trigger lever 15 and a lifter 3 descends a holder 2 having the mag netic disk 1 and positions it at the recording/reproducing position. Thus, even when the upper carriage 6 is dropped, upper/lower magnetic heads 5a, 6a enter the opening 1c of the disk 1 to cause the recording/reproducing state and the recording/reproduction is applied to a prescribed track. A step motor 8, a lead screw 7, a lower carriage 5, an engaging part with the screw 7, and a connection part 5d of upper/lower carriages are placed aside the magnetic disk and a port 5b having a plate spring 5c fixed to the lower carriage 5 is engaged at the side of the screw 7, then even when the lower carriage 5 and the slide part of the lead screw 7 have a play, the deviation of the head is hardly caused.
