The invention relates to a valve device, arranged between brake master cylinder and wheel brake cylinder of a motor vehicle hydraulic brake system, for generating or maintaining a predetermined admission pressure in at least one part of the hydraulic brake circuit, especially in its wheel brake cylinders. In order to generate the admission pressure, necessary to increase the boiling point of the brake fluid, only when it is really necessary, the valve device is provided with a thermally controlled device, by means of which a passage for the brake fluid is forcibly kept open in the valve device as soon as and as long as the temperature of the brake fluid lies below a predetermined value, preferably in the order of approximately 120@ to 135@C. <IMAGE>
