PURPOSE:To reduce distortion of inverter output, by a method wherein on-delay time is directly controlled by a microcomputer through matching with transistor characteristics. CONSTITUTION:An inverter device is composed of a rectifier bridge 14, a smoothing capacitor 15 and a transistor bridge 16, and the inverter is driven and controlled through a ROM containing microcomputer 18, a circuit insulation photocoupler 19 and an amplifier 20 and three-phase AC power is outputted from an output terminal 21. In this control, the ROM containing microcomputer 18 receives frequency command from a frequency command input end 17, and outputs control signal with the most suitable delay time in consideration of switching delay of the transistors. Thereby the on-delay time for the transitor protection is made optimum, and the on-delay circuit need not be installed on outside and the circuit is simplified.
