PURPOSE:To easily and inexpensively obtain the titled aq. mixed soln. useful as the setting the hardening accelerator, antifreeze, etc., in the field of concrete by adding Ca(OH)2 to a specified coke-oven gas wet desulfurization waste liq. to form a reaction mixed liq., and heating the liq. to remove NH3. CONSTITUTION:For example, Ca(OH)2 is amt. sufficient for converting the total amt. of an ammonium salt in a waste liq. into a Ca salt is added to the colored ammonium process wet desulfurization waste liq. of coke-oven gas contg. 800-2,000mol/m<3> ammonium thiocyanate, 200-1,000mol/m<3> ammonium thiosulfate, and 100-500mol/m<3> ammonium sulfate, etc., to form a reaction mixed liq. The concn. of the thiosulfate ion in the mixed liq. is controlled to <=11%, as required. The mixed liq. is heated while introducing air by aeration to <=90 deg.C at which the thiosulfate is not decomposed to remove the formed NH3, and then excess Ca(OH)2, CaSO4, etc., are removed as cake to obtain the titled aq. mixed soln. without the odor of NH3.
