PURPOSE:To set automatically a content of program stored in a working memory to a multi-memory at reapplication of main power supply by providing a power supply for backup to the working memory storing a program number of character broadcast. CONSTITUTION:The character signal extracted from a composite video signal from a reception section 2 is stored once in a buffer memory via a data processing circuit 6. The entire operation of a character broadcast decoder section B is controlled by a CPU 8. In case of the character broadcast, a control signal is fed from an operating section control circuit 12 to the main power supply 13 and the content of program of the character broadcast is stored in the multi-memory 11. Although the storage content of the multimemory is lost when the main power supply 3 is turned off, a program number is stored in the working RAM 10 and when the main power supply 13 is applied again, the program number and the program content corresponding thereto are stored again in the multi-memory 11. |
