PURPOSE:To improve yield by allowing a shape memory alloy to memorize shapes, by irradiating a recording layer having smooth surface by the prescribed laser beam, and by subjecting the above to temp. raise to the inverse- transformation-finishing temp. of the above alloy or above to undergo information recording. CONSTITUTION:The shape memory alloy of prescribed shape is heat-treated and rolled, so that a substrate transformed into martensitic structure is formed. A recording surface formed by mirror-finishing the surface of the above substrate is irradiated by a laser beam of prescribed spot diameter. Subsequently, the above substrate is heated to the inverse transformation-finishing temp. or above. As a result, the reflectivity of the above recording surface is changed and information are recorded. |
