PURPOSE:To generate electricity with high efficiency by a small and light apparatus by biasing an end face resonance-vibrated axially by means of an electrostriction element to a revolving rotator and by taking out a mechanical energy obtained by a resonance vibration of said rotator as an electric energy by means of the electrostriction element. CONSTITUTION:A vibrator 1 generating a torsional vibration against an axial direction causes electrostriction elements 3, 4, a discshaped resonator 8 radially performing a resonance vibration and electrostriction elements 9. 10 driving said resonator to lie between vibrating bodies 5,6 and all these portions are integrally tightened by a bolt 7 to constitute the vibrator. Also, electrode plates 11, 12 for driving and so on are provided between electrostriction elements 9, 10 and the like. Accordingly, if a driving power 15 is connected with said electrode plates to cause the resonator 18 to resonance-vibrate and an axial end face of the torsional vibrator 1 is biased to an end face 16a of the rotator 16, an end face of the vibrating body 6 is twisted in the direction of rotation to perform a torsional vibration, because the rotator 15 revolves in the direction of the arrow 17. As a result, stress is given to the electrostriction elements 3,4 so that an AC voltage is generated and supplied to an electrical load 18. |
