摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To prevent the decrease in the pH of sewage and to maintain the reaction rate of treatment at a high level, by charging org. sewage contg. NH4-N and activated sludge to a treatment tank wherein a descending flow passage and an ascending flow passage are communicated in the bottom and subjecting the same to strong aeration just before the suction side of a pump. CONSTITUTION:Org. sewage L and return sludge M contg. nitrifying bacteria or the like are fed into a treatment tank 9, whereafter a pump 15 and a blower 17 are operated to mix the air blown through an air feed pipe 18 into the sewage or the like which is sucked from a storage tank 8 and is directed to an inside pipe 6a. While the sewage, etc. contg. foam descend in the pipe 6a, the foam becomes smaller and is turned back in the bottom of a treatment tank 6 so as to flow into the flow passage of an outside pipe 6. The org. sewage is subjected to nitrification reaction and denitrification reaction during the course thereof. The sewage rising up in the ascending flow passage flows into an aeration tank 7 beyond a partition wall 10 from a reaction tank 6. The sewage admitted into said tank is kept aerated strongly.</p>
