PURPOSE:To certainly prevent the reverse revolution of an engine by outputting a reverse revolution signal from an engine revolution direction judging means and allowing the ignition timing signal supplied from an ignition controller to stop the output operation according to the reverse revolution signal. CONSTITUTION:During the engine operation, a pick-up measurement means 10 converts the pulser wave form generated in a pulser coil 9 into pick-up signals and inputs them into an ignition controller 12. At this time, an engine revolution direction judging means 11 judges the direction of revolution of an engine from each output pulse supplied from a charge coil 8 and the pulse coil 9, and when reversal is not detected, a calculating means 13 calculates the ignition timing from the pick-up signal, and the ignition timing signal is outputted into an ignitor 1 through a generating means 14. When reversal is judged, an ignition stop means 15 generates the ignition operation stop signal, and stops the output operation of the ignition timing signal of an ignition controller 12.
