PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compsn. which is flexible and superior in heat resistance and transparency and consisting of a random copolymer of 4-methyl-1- pentene with a 4-7C alpha-olefin and poly-4-methyl-1-pentene. CONSTITUTION:100-40wt% random copolymer of 4-methyl-1-pentene and a 4-7C alpha-olefin haivng a r-methyl-1-pentene content of 40-80mol%, a melting point of 140-220 deg.C, a softening point of 90-10 deg.C, a crystallinity according to an X-ray of 15-30%, and a soluble matter content <=4X[q]<-0.8>wt% for a mixed solvent of acetone and n-decane (volume ratio: 1/1) at an intrinsic viscosity [q] of 0.5-6dl/g and 10 deg.C, and 0-60wt% poly-4-methyl-1-pentene having MFR of 0.5-200g/10min are kneaded under melting.
