PURPOSE:To obtain the titled cure accelerator excellent in heat stability, compatibility with a curing agent and pot life characteristics, comprising a specified tetraphenylborate compound. CONSTITUTION:A 1,8-diazabicyclo(5.4.0)undecene-7 derivative of formula I (wherein X is Cl or Br) is reacted by stirring with an approximately equimolar amount of sodium tetraphenyl-borate at 0-100 deg.C in a reaction solvent such as water or a water/alcohol mixture, and the formed fine insoluble matter is filtered and dried to obtain the titled cure accelerator comprising a tetraphenylborate compound of formula II. To 100pts.wt. epoxy compound such as a bisphenol A epoxy resin are added 0.1-15pts.wt. said cure accelerator together with a curing agent such as an acid anhydride or a polyphenol and, optionally, a filler, a lubricant, a colorant, etc.
