<p>The invention relates to a soil cultivating machine comprising a plurality of soil working members (3) mounted on a frame (1) and a packer roller (11) located therebehind, which roller (11) includes a cylindrical portion (14) and spaced apart crowns of cams (15) provided thereon, whilst scraper elements (32) are arranged between said crowns of cams (15). The scraper elements (32) are pivotal about a pivotal axis (b) located, relative to the direction of operative travel of the machine, before a vertical plane (A-A) through the axis of rotation (a) of the roller (11) and within the path described by the ends of the cams (15) of the respective crowns of cams (15). The scraper elements (32) are mounted on an arm (32) which extends in the direction of operative travel of the machine and rearwardly from a pivotal point between two crowns of cams (15). The front end of a scraper element (32) bears against the outer periphery of the cylindrical portion (14) at a point located on a circumferential angle below a horizontal plane through the axis of rotation (a) of the roller (11), which roller (11) can be adjusted in height relative to the frame (1) supporting the soil working members (3), which are rotatable about upwardly extending axes.</p> |
