PURPOSE:To automatically carry out several types of general diagnosis programs with no intervention of operator operations, by setting newly a flag of an automatic operation mode within a diagnosis program monitor and prescribing the executing procedure of those general diagnosis programs. CONSTITUTION:A diagnosis program is set to an external memory device and an initial program loader/bootstrap IPLBOOT program is stored in a main memory from a memory device. Then a diagnosis program monitor is automatically loaded to the main memory and this monitor loads a scheduler program programming some general diagnosis programs to be executed into the main memory. Then a scheduler turns on an automatic operation flag within the diagnosis program monitor. Then the general diagnosis program set previously and to be executed first is loaded into the main memory and starts it for execution. In such a way, the automatic diagnosis of a computer system is carried out for each purpose with no intervention of operator operations at all after an IPL action is started. |
