<p>PURPOSE:To contrive effective use of the energy necessary for a pretreatment by shifting the melting time for scrap of raw material and reduced iron at the time of executing the pretreatment of the raw material for steel products to be supplied to raw material melting furnaces for steel products by a carbonaceous material with the exhaust gas generated in the above-mentioned furnace. CONSTITUTION:The reduced iron and scrap are supplied respectively like arrows F, S to the carbonaceous material melting furnaces 1a, 1b as the raw material melting furnace from a scrap preheating vessel 3 to which high-temp. gases are supplied from a fluidized reduction furnace 2 and a combustion chamber 5. The carbonaceous material and O2 are supplied to the molten metal in the bottom part of the furnaces 1a, 1b. The scrap is, therefore, melted by the reaction heat of the carburization and decarburization of the molten metal in the furnaces 1a, 1b. The reduced iron is subjected further to reduction at need simultaneously with melting and the gases contg. respectively large amts. of CO and H2 are generated. The gases are contained in an exhaust gas collecting chamber 4 respectively as shown by arrows A, B and are supplied to the reduction furnace 2 as shown by arrow P. The melting time of, for example, the furnace 1a and the melting time of the furnace 1b are shifted in this case. The reduction furnace 2 is thereby continuously operated.</p> |
