PURPOSE:To realize optimum picture display accordant with the pattern data and to improve the visual effect by prescribing the smoothing action according to the type of the pattern data stored in a picture memory. CONSTITUTION:A smoothing process action is prescribed based on the information data CD showing whether the picture data stored in a picture memory 10 are equal to the character pattern data or not. In other words, the interpolation data are produced for the character pattern data and not produced for the photographic pattern data respectively. As a result, the optimum picture display is secured in accordance with the picture data and therefore the visual effect is improved. |
