The device for filling a copying machine with toner comprises a filling connector (6) which may be permanently secured to the copying machine. The upper end of said connector is provided with a hopper receiving an interchangeable toner container. The container is comprised of a synthetic material container filled with toner of which one end forms a neck (1') and is tightly closed by a sheet (2). The sheet (2) is for example an aluminium foil coated with synthetic material and which may be hot-sealed. When the container (1) is introduced into the hopper (7), an opening member (5) fixed to the hopper releases the foil so that approximately one tenth of its periphery remains attached to the edge and that the foil is pressed outwardly by the free flow of toner. The empty container may remain connected to the connector as a protection against the introduction of foreign bodies until it is replaced by a new container. Alternatively, the empty container is removed and the connector is closed by a cover (4). |
