PURPOSE:To eliminate white void and spotty irregularity and obtain a picture of high S/N ratio by making heating temperature in initial stage at the time of developing higher than heating temperature in later stage. CONSTITUTION:When performing heat developing, heating temperature in the initial stage is made higher than heating temperature in the later stage. For instance, when using three pairs of heat rollers, heating temperature of heat rollers of the first stage 340. 342 is made higher than heat rollers of the second and third stages 344, 346, 348, 350. Heating temperature of entrance side 1/3 of the direction of carrying is made higher than the rear side 2/3 by desirably 1-10 deg.C. Thereby, a picture image of very small uneven developing and high S/N noise can be obtained.
