PURPOSE:To enable adaptation to a wide range of object to be measured, by making an immobilized matter of either a specified component or a substance able to be specifically bonded thereto and an immobilized matter of either enzyme or an aryl mercury derivative present in an aqueous medium. CONSTITUTION:Before a specified component in a fluid sample is analyzed by measuring the activity of an enzyme using a substance able to be specifically bonded to the specified component, an enzyme and an aryl mercury derivative, an immobilized matter of either the specified component or a substance able to be specifically bonded thereto or an immobilized matter of either the enzyme or the aryl mercury derivative are made present in an aqueous medium. The fluid sample may use any form of solution and colloidal solution but that derived from a living thing is preferable, for example, blood, plasma, serum, cerebrospinal fluid, saliva, amniotic fluid, milk, urine, sweat and meat juice. This enables adaptation to a wide range of object to be measured from low to high molecular material with a handy operation.
