PURPOSE:To extend a life of a compressor, by forming a discharge noise muffler by a space defined between an inner wall of a closed case and a bearing on the opposite side of a motor. CONSTITUTION:A discharge noise muffler 16 is formed by a space defined between an inner wall 12a of a closed case 12 and a bearing 15 on the opposite side of a motor. With this arrangement, the heat of a refrigerant gas in the discharge noise muffler 16 is actively radiated from the closed case 12. Therefore, the temperature of a compressor is decreased, and the generation of an oil sludge is reduced. Accordingly, the reliability of the compressor is improved, and a life is extended.
