PURPOSE:To stop a servomotor with no delay when a part to be driven hits a peripheral member by delivering a stop command signal of the servomotor from a logic circuit in case the peak current detecting circuit and the monitor signal are applied at a time to the logic circuit. CONSTITUTION:For instance, a member to be driven hits a peripheral member at a time point t2 in a process where the member to be driven is driven up to its target position. Thus a positive peak current i3 having the larger waveheight than a peak current i1 obtained at the time of acceleration of the motor 1 flows to the motor 1. The current i3 is impressed to a differential amplifier 15 to be converted into its corresponding voltage and then compared with the voltage Vref of a reference power supply 17. When the voltage equivalent to the current i3 is higher than the voltage Vref, a peak current detecting signal h3 is delivered fro the amplifier 15 and impressed to the input terminal at one side of an AND circuit 22. Then a stop command signal (f) is outputted from the circuit 22 when the signal h3 and a monitor signal (g) are impressed to the circuit 22.
