PURPOSE:To perform exposure, heat development, and to transfer while the photosensitive material is wound around the outer periphery of a photosensitive body and to reduce the size of a picture recording device greatly by exposing a heat-developing photosensitive material while it is wound around the outer periphery of the photosensitive body, and pressing an image receiving material against the photosensitive material and heating it. CONSTITUTION:The front end of the heat-developing photosensitive material 16 is positioned at the step 36A of the photosensitive body 36A whose interior is evacuated, and held by clips 42 at both ends. The image receiving material 76 conveyed from a tray 80 is pressed against the material 16 by pressure rollers 62, 64, and 66 and heated by a heater 49 embedded in the photosensitive body, thereby performing the heat development of the photosensitive material 16 which is exposed by an exposure head 60 and the transfer to the image receiving material 76 at the same time. Thus, exposing, developing, and transferring operations are carried out while the heat-developing material is wound around the outer periphery of the photosensitive body, and the device is reduced in size greatly.
