<p>of the Invention In the method of induced-polarization (IP) prospecting in a terrain made up of bedrock covered by a substantial conductive overburden, the bedrock is given an electrical charge by applying current at spaced-apart sites directly to the bedrock. Electrical characteristics of the bedrock are then measured as an index of the metal content.
