PURPOSE:To obtain a braille printer forming a pattern highly built up as compared with a usual printing pattern and reduced in noise, for example, in the application to braille printing, by providing function repeatedly printing the same pattern on the same place plural times upon the reception of a predetermined control signal. CONSTITUTION:A current supply electrode head prints the ink on a resistance ribbon 2 on paper 4 through the resistance ribbon 2. When an apparatus receives a predetermined control signal, said apparatus controls carriage return so as to repeatedly print the same pattern on the same place plural times to form a pattern highly built up as compared with a usual printing pattern. Therefore, a braille printer reduced in noise, for example, if applied to braille printing can be obtained.
