PURPOSE:To provide the titled agent containing a mixture of pyridafenthion and diazinon as an active component, directly or indirectly acting to jumbo mud-snail and inhibiting the physiological action of the snail to death. CONSTITUTION:Pyridafenthion of formula I (O-2,3-dihydro-3-oxo-2-phenyl-6- pyridazinyl-O,O-diethyl thiophosphate) and diazinon of formula II (O,O-diethyl- O-2-isopropyl-4-methyl-6-pyrimidinyl thiophosphate) are mixed with each other at a ratio of 1:4-4:1 and the mixture is used as it is or after diluting with water, solid powder or other carrier or, if necessary, together with an assistant such as surfactant or used in the form of wettable powder, wettable granule, sol, emulsion, powder, oil-solution, etc. The damage of water crops such as lotus root, rush, MIZUIMO (a kind of taro) caused by jumbo mud-snail can be prevented by treating the snail with the agent.
