PURPOSE:To automate a printing process with trimming by providing a read means for a trimming instruction display imprinted on a film and a means which sets automatically a trimming mask specified by a trimming instruction display means on an exposure path. CONSTITUTION:The trimming mask is positioned by cutting a mark or code 2a in, for example, a mask plate 2 at a specific position, detecting it by a position detecting means 5, and stopping a driving motor 4. A customer already imprints the trimming instruction display 1a on the film 1 as the mark or code during photography by using a camera for trimming and this is read optically by the read means 6 to discriminate whether trimming is performed or not and which trimming mask is in use. Thus, the film 1 and trimming mask are positioned and then an exposure source 7 turns on to trim and print an image on photographic paper 8. Thus, the printing process with trimming is automated and printing is ordered at the same time with film development.
