PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording medium which prevents the attraction to a magnetic head and can improve the wear resistance and surface lubricity to the magnetic head by providing a lubricating film consisting of a fluorine surface reforming agent and flurine liquid lubricating agent on a magnetic layer on a nonmagnetic substrate. CONSTITUTION:The 1st lubricating film 3 consists of the fluorine surface reforming agent provided on the magnetic layer 2 and the 2nd lubricating film 4 consists of the flurine liquid lubricating agent provided on the 1st lubricating film 3. The 1st lubricating film 3 consisting of the fluorine surface reforming agent is formed by forming themagnetic layer 2, by, for example, a sputtering method on the nonmagnetic substrate 1, and coating the soln. of the fluorine surface reforming agent on the magnetic layer 2 by a spin-coating method, then heating and drying the coating. The 2nd lubricating film 4 is then formed on the 1st lubricating film 3 by dissolving the liquid lubricating agent of a perfluoroalkyl polyether into a solvent such as trichlorotrifluoroethane to prepare the soln., and coating the soln. of the liquid lubricating agent onto the 1st lubricating film 3 by a spin-coating method, then heating and drying the coating. |
