PURPOSE:To facilitate the replacement with other accommodation chamber without making a printer large-scaled, by providing an accommodation chamber for accepting a plurality of type wheels each having types mounted on the periphery thereof in a ring shape to an accepting stand in a state accessible in the axial direction of a platen. CONSTITUTION:A carrier 3 movable to the axis direction of a platen 2 is provided on a machine stand 1 and an accommodation chamber 19 having a plurality of type wheels 12 movable to a direction crossing the carrier 3 at a right angle received therein is mounted on the carrier 3 through a receiving stand 45. One type wheel among a plurality of the ones in the accommodation chamber 19 is upwardly moved by a rising and falling mechanism and, after the rotary shaft of said wheel is engaged with the wheel by a slide mechanism, an arbitrary type is subjected to printing by a hammer 175. Herein, the chamber 19 is provided in a state accessible in the axis direction of the platen so that the chamber having the used type wheel housed therein can be easily pulled out to the axis direction of the platen from an accepting stand. |
