PURPOSE:To perform centering adjustment and azimuth adjustment with a simple structure by attaching an azimuth adjusting plate freely turnably on a centering adjusting plate, which is freely turnably attached to a head carriage, so that their centers of turning are shifted from each other. CONSTITUTION:A screw 100 provided on a standing piece 98 is turned to perform centering adjustment of a magnetic head 46. That is, when the screw 100 is turned, the first adjusting plate 66 is turned around a screw 92 because the front end part of the screw 100 is engaged with a hole 106 of the first adjusting plate 66, and the second adjusting plate 68 is turned together because it is arranged on the first adjusting plate 66, thus performing centering adjustment of the magnetic head 46. A screw 86 provided on a standing piece 82 is turned to perform azimuth adjustment. That is, when the screw 86 is turned, the second adjusting plate 68 is turned around a screw 76 because the screw 86 is engaged with a standing piece 72 of the second adjusting plate 68. the magnetic head 46 is turned around the gap because the screw 75 is placed just under the gap of the magnetic head 46, thus performing azimuth adjustment.
