PURPOSE:To confirm the reproduced picture of a photographed part and to prevent the delay of next photographing by providing a position control means which controls a recording and reproducing head so that one gap is placed in the next unrecorded track position and the other is placed in the recorded track position each time when photographing is terminated. CONSTITUTION:Though a system controller 8 moves a recording and reproducing head 4 to the unrecorded track side of a floppy disk successively in accordance with photographic recording, the head position is so controlled that one gap is placed in the next unrecorded track position and the other is placed in the recorded track position at the end of photographing with respect to movement of the recording and reproducing head. Thus, the picture recorded by the preceding photographing is confirmed by the reproduced signal of a field picture from the gap placed in the recorded track position, and a picture is recorded with the gap by head movement if the next photographing is field recording, and a picture is recorded with both gaps by the extent of head movement corresponding to one track if it is frame recording.
