PURPOSE:To stabilize the surface potential of a photosensitive body speedily and to reduce the size of a device by driving a LED array head prior to printing-out operation and exposing the entire surface of a photosensitive body made of a selenium material with light having specific wavelength. CONSTITUTION:When a print key is operated, a main motor 72 is driven with a driving signal and the photosensitive drum 26 made of amorphous selenium rotates. Then, the LED head 28 is turned on and all LED elements illuminate to expose the entire surface of the drum 26 to red light of 660nm in wavelength. The fatigue is accelerated forcibly by the entire surface exposure of the photosensitive layer during one revolution and the surface potential of the drum 26 is shifted from a transient state to a steady state. Further, the entire surface exposure of the drum 26 for stabilizing the surface potential is performed by the LED array head which normally illuminates selectively with print data, so the device is reducible in size. |
