PURPOSE:To visually confirm each color part clearly as a color concerned, by correcting recording information so as to continue the picture element of the color corresponding to a color forming layer positioned as a lower layer at least over a predetermined number in a sub-scanning direction. CONSTITUTION:A color correction circuit 20 corrects a red image (e.g., one red color line) having no expanse in a sub-scanning direction to a red image having an expanse on the basis of the inputted black and white image signal WB and red image signal RD corresponding to plural lines to correct the signals WB, RD so as to be capable of clearly confirming a red color part. The corrected black and white image signal CW and corrected red image after correction are applied to a thermal head 12 as data DT through a change-over device 22 controlled by a control part 21. In this case, when the color correction circuit 20 detects the red color part not continued over three lines in the sub- scanning direction at the same main scanning position, said circuit 20 corrects a color so that said red color part continues at least over three lines in the sub-scanning direction at the same main scanning position. |
