PURPOSE:To obtain the titled condensate effectively without side reactions and loss of a treating agent, by heat-treating a partially alkoxylated phosphonitrilic chloride in the presence of a specified treating agent. CONSTITUTION:Phosphonitrilic chloride partially alkoxylated with an alcohol or a methyl alkoxide (preferably, a 1-7C alcohol or metal alkoxide), preferably, a condensate of a partially alkoxylated phosphonitrilic chloride having a residual chlorine concentration of 1-16wt%, is heat-treated in the presence of a hexaalkyl phosphoric (phosphorous) triamide [e.g., hexamethyl phosphoric (phosphorous) triamide]. It is possible to produce the titled condensate in good efficiency without side reactions and loss of the triamide. The produced condensate can be purified by, for example, a process comprising dissolving it in an organic solvent of a low water solubility, filtering off insoluble matter, adjusting the pH, if necessary, washing the product and removing the solvent from the separated organic solvent phase. |
