摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To form a continuous linear latent image right-angled to the moving direction of a recording medium on the recording medium and to enhance display grade through the adaptation to a light source for a printer, by a method wherein second control voltage as an applying signal is set so as to be almost the same to anode voltage and the first control voltage applied to a first control electrode is lower than the second control voltage in a specific range. CONSTITUTION:In a vacuum fluorescent tube having a tetrode structure, second control voltage as an applying signal is set so as to be almost same to anode voltage and the first control voltage applied to a first control electrode 18 is made lower than the second control voltage by 0-100V. Anode voltage Vb is set to a range of 150-350V and, for example, set to 200V. The same second voltage of 200V as the anode voltage is applied to a second control electrode 15. The first control electrode applied to the first control electrode 18 is set to a range of 50-200V and, for example, set to 80V. When the vacuum fluorescent tube is allowed to perform light emitting display under the above mentioned conditions, electron beam is not almost converged when passes through a slit 16 and collides with the fluorescent layer of an anode almost vertically and each light emitting dot can emit light over the full width of the dot and can continuously emit dot-like light.</p>
