PURPOSE:To simplify connecting an optical connector and to completely intercept a laser beam by attaching a shielding body to a cover so that the laser beam shielding face is placed in the laser beam exit side of a light emitting body with a length longer than an allowable radius of curvature of an optical cable between them. CONSTITUTION:A strip-shaped metallic plate having a prescribed width is bent into a U shape, which has dimensions longer than the allowable radius of curvature of an optical cable 3 connected to an optical connector, in the laser beam going direction, namely, the direction of a dotted arrow to form a laser beam shielding body 4 provided with attaching holes in both ends, for example, a metal fitting which is obtained by forming a cold rolled steel plate into a prescribed shape and has the surface plated with nickel. This shielding body 4 is attached to a cover 5 so that the center of the surface of this body 4 in the laser beam going direction, namely, the direction of the dotted arrow coincides with the optical axis of the laser beam. Thus, the laser beam from a light emitting body 1 which is radiated to the space with the attachable and detachable optical connector 2 detached is intercepted, and the optical connector 2 is attached and detached. |
