PURPOSE:To quicken the rise of tape running by designing that the rotary shaft of a pinch roller is driven in a guide slot only of a stationary member and holding the rotary shaft in parallel with the capstan shaft. CONSTITUTION:The 1st member 8 is pressed forward by a spring 13 with the pinch roller 3 not pressed, and a taper of a taper pin 9 is suppressed at a diameter equal to that of a pin hole 12b of the 2nd member 12. In such a case, the 1st member 8 is in parallel with the 2nd member 12 by the action between the cone of the taper of the taper pin 9 and the circle of the pin hole 12b and a shaft 7 being the rotary shaft of the pinch roller 3 is kept in parallel with the shaft of the capstan 1. The shaft 7 is forwarded by applying force to the arm 11 and in parallel with the shaft of the capstan 1 just before the capstan 1 is pressed into contact onto a magnetic tape 2, immediately after the pinch roller 3 presses the magnetic tape 2 onto the capstan 1, the running of the magnetic tape 2 is brought into the normal state.
