The method is for recording the behaviour of a runner when commencing a race from a starting block (1) comprising a support unit (4) and a foot support (5) on it. It involves the registration of load variations, caused by the runner as he starts, on the foot support (5). These load variations are used to decide whether a correct or false start was enacted. The recording unit comprises a power-dynamic transmitter (3) fitted on the support unit (4), and a central unit (8) to which the transmitter is connected. The central unit has instruments indicating signals from the transmitters (3), which are of the wire stretching type. A slump generator is connected to the central unit to simulate signals originating from load variations. (Provisional Basic advised week E43) |
