PURPOSE:To damp effectively and to absorb the vibration caused in an optical system holder and a support by using a rubber material to support the optical system holder to hold the optical system. CONSTITUTION:A rotary shaft 22 is provided in the focus direction A-A' and a bearing 16 is fitted rockably in the tracking direction B-B' orthogonal to the focus direction A-A', to the rotary shaft 22. A support 28 is provided to the side face of the bearing 16 and a lens holder 10 mounted with an objective lens 12 is provided additionally to have an optical axis in the focus direction A-A' to the side face opposite to the bearing 16 via the support 28. The support 28 is made of an elastic rubber material and a hollow 30 whose cross section is rectangular from the side face between the bearing 16 and the lens holder 10 toward the tracking direction B-B'. Since the lens holder 10 is supported to the bearing 16 by using support plates 31a, 31b being rubber elastic plates, when an external force is exerted from the lens holder 10, the lens holder is rocked only in the focus direction A-A' to the bearing 16, and not rocked in the tracking direction B-B'.
