PURPOSE:To improve the mechanical operational inferiority of a printing head to a large extent, by controlling a printing speed so as to decrease the same only when a control part confirms definite temp. or less on the basis of the signal from a temp. sensor. CONSTITUTION:A control part 1 controls a printing head 3 and a printing mechanism part 4 to perform printing. If the control part 1 confirms that the temp. of the printing head 3 becomes too high on the basis of the signal from the temp. sensor 2 mounted in the printing head 3, control for reducing printing duty is performed. Contrarily, when the temp. of the printing head 3 is of a definite value or less, control is performed so as to carry out printing at a low speed even if a high speed printing mode is designated. If the temp. of the printing head reaches definite temp. or more during the printing, the high speed printing mode is enabled.
