SEAL DEVICE FOR ANALYSIS SLIDE

PURPOSE:To reduce an adsorptivity toward a reactive gas generated in a multilayer analysis element by the chemical reaction of analyte by arranging a seal device formed by a fluorine containing polymer adjacent to an analysis slide and substantially covering a liquid specimen application surface. CONSTITUTION:An analysis slide carrier 10 which is a seal device formed from a fluorine containing polymer (for example, polytetrafluoroethylene) accommodates an analysis slide 20. An opening 12 provided in the lid 13 of the carrier 10 facilitates the detection of the analysis slide 20 in the carrier 10 in an incubation process. The approximately central portion of the inner surface of the carrier 10 constitutes a surface portion opposed to the liquid specimen application surface of a multilayer analysis element via an impregnating opening 21. Thus, the evaporation of the liquid specimen from the multilayer analysis element in the incubation process is reduced and the liquid specimen application surface of the multilayer analysis element is substantially covered.
