PURPOSE:To dissolve descriptive hardness in an inference mechanism fitted for an application, by describing the inference mechanism using a rule within a knowledge base, and fact data, by means of the rule of another knowledge base system. CONSTITUTION:An 'if-then' form is adopted as the rule of an execution control mechanism 1 that is the inference mechanism for a knowledge base constructing tool, and a production rule in which the description of a variable is permitted to a condition part-conclusion part, is considered. And an inference mechanism 2 different from the mechanism 1 is provided, and a frame type data structure is adopted, and a coincidence between the data structure and the condition part in the mechanism 1 is decided, and the conclusion part of the rule in which all of the conditions are satisfied, is executed.
