PURPOSE:To facilitate size reduction, the filing of image date, etc., by moving an embossed part at a specific speed and reading plural shades which are formed depending upon an angle of projection by a two-dimensional sensor and putting them together. CONSTITUTION:A means L which projects light on a recording medium and the image sensor 14 which reads an image in two dimensions are provided, and a means 24 which moves the recording medium at the specific speed and reads and puts together plural shades differing in angle of projection is further provided. The embossed part is embossed on a card surface and, for example, when the card is moved, the angle of projection varies and the shades which are formed as a result are read by the two-dimensional image sensor 14, so that plural image data read on the basis of the moving speed are put together.
