PURPOSE:To obtain a highly safe recording apparatus constituted so as to be capable of preventing the damage of a recording head caused by chattering, by protecting the recording head when an external memory means is mounted and detached. CONSTITUTION:When an ROM cartridge 3 is detached, VCL<-> comes to an 'L' level and VCl comes to an 'H' level and, when the ROM cartridge 3 is mounted, VCL<-> comes to an 'H' level and VCL comes to an 'L' level. By appropriately connecting the outputs VCL<->, VCL of a constant voltage detection element IC to the reset terminal of MPU1A, the control of the resetting of MPU1A and the release of the resetting thereof becomes possible when the ROM cartridge 3 is detached and mounted. The mounting and detachment of the ROM cartridge 3 is detected by a resetting circuit 10 and a reset signal or a reset release signal is sent out to MPU1A to control the operation of MPU1A and, by this method, the damage of the heat generating element in a recording head 2 caused by the erroneous operation of MPU1A is prevented. |
