PURPOSE:To attain the reproduction by a Compact Disk in wide use by using a recording beam to form a recording track onto a recording medium by an information signal and irradiating a recording beam of non-modulation state to parts between adjacent recording tracks. CONSTITUTION:The laser light subject to intensity modulation by an information signal made incident in a deflection prism 15 from an optical system 13 is collected by a condenser lens 16 and a light spot S1 of a minute diameter is irradiated into a recording layer of a recording medium 1. Further, the laser light of non-modulation not subject to intensity modulation by using the information signal made incident in the prism 15 from the optical system 14 and is collected (16) to project a light spot S2 to the medium 1. Captions t1, t2...t4 are recording tracks in which the light spot S1 subject to intensity modulation is irradiated, the hatched part shows the original disk state (having a low reflectance), and the parts indicated as white background have a high reflectance. Then the parts between two adjacent recording tracks in the recording tracks t1...t4 show the light spot of non-modulation state and the light spot S2 is projected.
