PURPOSE:To enable a steering gear to obtain the reduction ratio in accordance with a vehicle running condition, by connecting a control rod with a tie-rod through a link while movably setting a turn supporting point of said link. CONSTITUTION:A pinion 3 is provided in a steering shaft 2 while meshed with a rack 5 formed in a control rod 4. One end of this rod 4 connects with one end of a link 8, and its other end connects with a tie-rod 13. And a turn supporting point 18, which is provided in the link 8, can be moved along the link 8 so that its lever ratio can be adjusted. The tie-rod 13, whose both ends connect knuckle arms 19, 20, steers wheels 21, 22. If the lever ratio m:n is variably set, reduction gear ratio (r) of a steering gear can be freely adjusted.
