PURPOSE:To prevent a toner from being scattered to a lower structure body from a toner recovery pipe though an upper structure body is opened like a splay mouth when jam occurs or a photosensitive drum is replaced, by providing a protective cover on the outside periphery above the entrance of a toner recovery vessel. CONSTITUTION:A protective cover 22 is fixed on the outside periphery above an aperture 8a of a toner recovery vessel 8. When copying is performed with an upper structure body 10 closed, the toner carried by a toner carrying coil 18 passes a toner recovery pipe 19 and is dropped into the toner recovery vessel 8 by its own weight and is accumulated there. Though the upper structure body 10 is opened like a splay mouth when jam occurs or the photosensitive drum is replaced, a front end 19a of the toner recovery pipe 19 is placed in the protective cover 22. Thus, the toner is not scattered around. |
