PURPOSE:To aim at secureness of driving force and avoidance of tight coner braking, by constituting the transfer torque capacity of a differential limiting device so as to be controlled according to a wheel revolving speed, in case of a four-wheel drive device with a center differential gar. CONSTITUTION:When a rear-wheel revolving speed, throttle opening and a manual shift position are all inputted into a controller 45, shift control over a shift step of a gear shifter 7 is carried out via a hydraulic controller 9 according to the specified procedure, while a pulse signal of the specified duty ratio is outputted, controlling transfer torque capacity Tc of a differential control clutch 21. That is to say, a rear-wheel revolving speed N0 is compared with the first specified value N1 and the second specified value N2, and when a duty ratio D is 0, N1<N0<N2 at N0<N1, an optimum duty ratio D is outputted, and when N2<N0 is the case, a pulse signal of 1 in the duty ratio D is outputted respectively, thereby controlling the transfer torque capacity Tc. Thus, tight coner braking is prevented from occurring.
