PURPOSE:To simplify a repairing work, by a method wherein it is decided that a pump is in a chattering state when a flow rate is below a specified value, the off-time of a pump motor is shorter than a given time, and the number of intermittent operating times of an off-time is repeated the given number of times or more. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit part 15 of a pump motor 2 controls turning ON and OFF of the pump motor 2 according to outputs from a pressure sensor 6 and a flow rate sensor 7. Based on the OFF-time of the pump motor 2, a selection circuit part selects timer operation by a timer circuit 29 and pressure sensor operation by the pressure sensor 6. It is decided that a pump is in a chattering state when a flow rate is below a given value, the OFF-time of the pump motor 2 is shorter than a given time, and the number of intermittent operation times of an OFF-time is repeated the given number of times or more. This constitution enables this state to be reported to an operator at an early stage, and a pump to be repaired in good time.
