PURPOSE:To discharge smoke with optimum suction efficiency according to the change of the width of a fabric to be cut even if the width thereof changes by providing movable partition plates in a smoke discharge chamber and setting the partition plates to the position corresponding to a stock. CONSTITUTION:Rods 54, 58 are respectively moved to fix the positions of the partition plates 52, 56 according to the width or cutting pattern of the fabric 18 to be fed on a conveyer 10. The operation of a cutting machine is then started and the cutting of the fabric 18 is executed while laser light is irradiated from a laser head 20 on the fabric 18 according to the cutting pattern of the fabric. Smoke 42 generated by the combustion of the cutting generated during the cutting is discharged through the space partitioned between the partition plates 52 and 56 from a smoke discharge pipe 40 to the outside. The efficient discharge is thus executed. |
